My HERBALIFE life 2016

If you know me, you will know that I LOVE to eat, socialize, drink a beer or two and eat some more... I was never a person interested in doing diets and totally don’t like exercising. I was never overweight during my school years but about 7 years after school I broke the 100kg mark. Fast forward a few years and in 2015 I weighed 135kg at some stage. My weight went up and down and in April 2016 I weighed 129kg. During that April I traveled to Johannesburg to photograph by brother's stepdaughter's wedding and I saw my brother for the first time in a long time. He lost A LOT of weight and looked awesome. He was using HERBALIFE and exercised 3-4 times a week. Exercise and “diet”, two of my least likable things in life :) After talking to him I decided that I will try this HERBALIFE “diet”. When I got back in Cape Town I talked to my wife and she was keen to support me and doing it with me. So, we Googled to find a HERBALIFE supplier and after talking to her we entered the HERBALIFE weight loss challenge for 3 months. From the first day I decided that I will give HERBALIFE a good go BUT NO exercise (didn’t like it and was too fat and uncomfortable to even try something).

My HERBALIFE Journey 

I am a mom of 3 beautiful children. But my pregnancies were not very kind to my body. I was very fit when I fell pregnant with my first child, but because of complications I could not exercise during the pregnancy. So, I picked up a LOT of weight with my first child (25kg – with my height, I was almost as wide as I was tall!). After my daughter was born, I developed thyroid problems, so I then lost a LOT of weight again because of the illness. After treatment, I started picking up too much weight again; only to find out I was pregnant again. And so my story goes on until after my 3rd child’s birth.

So, my body has been through SOOO many changes in the last 7 years, I couldn’t even remember how it felt to be myself. Last year, I decided enough is enough; I will start living healthy, exercise and lose weight that I feel like my old self again. I decided to do a weight loss challenge and I saw AMAZING results.
